SHT F-601 Overview 24 fps

A still shows a view. A film shows the arrival, the threshold, the turn into the room — the sequence an architect actually designed. That is what animation is for.

ZARC produces architectural animation from the same models we use for rendering and BIM documentation, so camera paths follow real circulation and materials match the specified finishes. Films are storyboarded before rendering, previewed as low-resolution animatics for approval, and edited with grading, titles, music and optional voice-over.

Deliverables are cut for where they will be seen: a full-length film for presentations and sales suites, 15–30 second vertical edits for Instagram and TikTok, and clean image sequences your agency can re-edit.

SHT F-602 Deliverables 6 formats
01

Exterior fly-throughs

Aerial and street-level camera moves around the building and site, with context, landscape, traffic and people — the establishing film for a development.

02

Interior walkthroughs

Eye-level sequences through lobbies, apartments, offices and hospitality spaces at the pace a visitor would actually walk.

03

4D construction sequences

Phased build-up of structure, envelope and fit-out linked to the programme — for contractors, planners and investor updates.

04

Explainer & concept films

Diagrammatic animation of massing, sun path, circulation and sustainability strategy for competitions and design reviews.

05

Social-media cuts

Vertical and square edits, 15–30 seconds, with captions and end cards sized for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube Shorts.

06

Studio & project showreels

Edited compilations of renders and animation for practice websites, awards submissions and pitches.

SHT F-604 Process 5 steps
01

Brief & storyboard

We agree the story, length, platforms and tone, then issue a shot-by-shot storyboard and a fixed quote.

02

Model prep & materials

Your model is cleaned and detailed for motion — materials, vegetation, furniture, people — reusing render assets where they exist.

03

Animatic preview

A low-resolution version of the full film for approval of camera paths, timing and edit before any final frames are rendered.

04

Final render & post

Full-resolution frames rendered on our farm, then graded and edited with titles, music, sound design and optional voice-over.

05

Delivery in every format

Master file, platform-specific cuts and image sequences delivered via shared drive with a usage guide.

SHT F-608 Questions FAQ
How long does an architectural animation take to produce?

A 30–60 second fly-through from a supplied model typically takes 2–3 weeks: one week for model preparation, materials and a camera-path preview, one to two weeks for rendering and editing. Longer films with interiors, people and sound design run 4–6 weeks.

What do I need to provide?

A 3D model or a full drawing set we can model from, material references, a rough idea of the story (which spaces matter most) and the platforms the film will be shown on. Logos, music preferences and any voice-over script can come later.

What resolution and formats do you deliver?

Standard delivery is 4K H.264/H.265 MP4 with a 1080p copy, plus vertical 9:16 and square 1:1 cuts for social media on request. ProRes masters and image sequences are available for broadcast or further editing.

Can you animate a project you didn't render?

Yes. We regularly animate models produced by other studios or by the client's own team. If materials need upgrading to hold up in motion, we quote that as a separate line.

Tell us the story. We'll shoot it.

Share the model or drawings, the length you have in mind and where the film will be shown. We reply with a storyboard outline and fixed quote within two working days.
